Public Health Intelligence

Public Health Intelligence or epidemiology is the study of factors affecting the health and illness of populations, and serves as the foundation and logic of interventions made in the interest of public health and preventative medicine.

The Team provides high quality public health intelligence and epidemiological research to inform strategic decision making in Warwickshire.  This involves working to reduce health inequalities, with advice and support in relation to the provision, analysis, interpretation and use of health related information.

Key projects include leading on Warwickshire’s JSNA process and the production of the Director of Public Health Annual Reports. The Team also works in close collaboration with the County Council’s Observatory.
